From March 2011, when Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology (CIGIT) is established, CIGIT insists on the managerial ideology of freedom for establishment, opening-up for development and excellent staff for evolution by the support and attention from CAS, the state council three gorges project construction committee, Chongqing government and other related organizations. CIGIT welcomes all kinds of elite, advances the process of scientific research projects and in a good momentum of development.

CIGIT involves high-level talents from worldwide colleges and enterprises including: Standford University, the National University of Singapore and other famous universities and enterprises by developing “thousand people program”, “thousand young people program”, “hundred people in CAS program”, “Par-Eu scholars program” and other talents import policies. Furthermore, there are 16 research centers created such as: cloud computing research center, micro-nano manufacturing and system integration research center, environmental microbial ecology research center and other research centers.

CIGIT consists of 89 staff until the end of 2011, including 71 science and technology personnel,　18 science and technology supporting personnel, which contains one academician of Chinese academy of science, 14 researchers and advanced senior engineers, 14 of associate researchers and senior engineers and 7 “west light foundation” candidates. Meanwhile, in the name of college of computing and communications engineering and college of resources and environmental from the graduate university of CAS, CIGIT will intake academic master students and doctoral students in environmental science and computer application technology and full-time master　students in control engineering.

The total amount of staff will reach 230 till June 2012 and it is expected to be 350 at the end of 2012. At the end of 2013, the total amount of staff will reach 600.
