Professor Kong and Professor Brian Waldron visited our institute, and developed academic exchanges with researchers of CIGIT in 11th March.

Mr Kong is the professor of college of earth sciences and the dean of Confucius in University of Memphis. He gave us a lecture of Water Quality in Reelfoot Lake by using the Hyperspectral Remote Senesing Techniques. After the report, he discussed about remote sensing technology for water quality retrievals with around.

The other report of Planning and Response to the Historic Mississipi River Flood of 2011 was given by professor Brian Waldron. In this report, researchers used GIS to forecast the flood, as well as to rescue and assess after the flood disaster.
