  From 22 April to 2 May 2012, a CIGIT recruitment team led by dean Jiahu Yuan went to American to meet academic elites. CIGIT launced 9 special recruitment meeting in University of Chicago, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Northwestern University, University of Michigan, Clemson University, Rutgers University, Stevens Institute of Technology, Boston University, MIT, Harvard University respectively. More than 150 oversea talents joined these meetings. Most interviewees had obtained master and doctoral degree and working experiences

   In the recruitments, Jiahu Yuan introduced both Chongqing and CIGIT. The milestones of  economic  and scientific development ,in Chongiqng were introduced firstly. Secondly, the development of CIGIT, related policies for importing high-level oversea talents and corresponding requirements for recruitments were described. Finally, they talked with oversea talents individually, focused on the issues of thousand people program, salary and job requirements,.

   Chongqing has huge economic and scientific potentials under the economic development of China. CIGIT provides various favored policies for the oversea talents. 4 talents of thousand people program, 2 talents of thousand young people program and 13 high-level talents are allocated here.

   During the recruitments in American, Jiahu Yuan with the team were invited to visit Harvard University-Center for Nanoscale Systems, University of Michigan-Lurie Nanofabrication Facility, Electron Microbeam Analysis Laboratory and industrial park in UIUC. Meanwhile, they met ten experts in the research areas of multimedia, micro-nano manufacturing, information engineering, biological medicine and other scientific fields. They signed contracts of strategic advisory with four scientists, ahead by Xuntao Huang academician.

   This oversea American recruitment is the CITIT’s first self-organized activity. CIGIT had received the support from the colleagues with American background and American college CSSA.It is reported the recruitment activities will be hold by CIGIT this year, to attract more oversea elites to join in this institute.
