Research Center Orientation

The Center of Robotics and Systems is committed to breaking through strategic, fundamental and other related major scientific problems and key technical bottlenecks in the field of robotics, and developing a new generation of intelligent robot systems with the evolutionary ability of perception, thinking, action and learning. Relying on Chongqing Key Laboratory of Service Robot Generic Technology and System, the center has a complete robot research and development equipment platform such as key parts design and processing, robot integration and testing, information processing and analysis..

Team

Currently, there are 10 full-time employees, including 4 senior researchers. It is an excellent cross-research team with research backgrounds in materials, machinery, electronics, computers, and automation.

Dapeng Wei, Director of the Center, researcher, Western Light Scholar of Chinese Academy of Sciences, winner of Chongqing Outstanding Youth Fund, member of the Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Artificial Intelligence. His main research interests are carbon-based skin tactile sensors and human-computer interaction.

Bin Zheng, a researcher, is engaged in the research of robotics, intelligent manufacturing, deep learning, optimization design, etc., and has developed various types of robots such as welding robots, underwater sampling robots in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, textile robots, and intelligent storage robots.

Xingwang Yu, deputy director of the Center and senior engineer, is engaged in the design and development of high-precision Beidou positioning equipment, and has developed a Beidou deformation monitoring terminal with independent intellectual property rights. The technical achievements have been widely used in many fields such as transportation, energy and water conservancy.


Representative Research Achievement

1. Robotics

(1) Technical research: industrial robot arm and all-terrain unmanned vehicle system research; In the field of humanoid robot, the design of sensing humanoid robot arm-body-leg-foot bionic structure, high-burst, impact-resistant, variable-impedance force-control joint, high dynamic gait stability control algorithm and high computing power controller are studied.

(2) Industry applications: For industrial manufacturing sites, undertake the design, manufacturing and installation of flexible intelligent production lines, and develop industrial series-parallel robots, composite robot systems, and spatial 3D printing; Facing the electronics industry and the automotive manufacturing field, it has undertaken a number of large-scale intelligent production lines entrusted by enterprises.

 

2. bionic tactile sensor

The design method of skin-like micro-nano force sensitive contact was developed, and combined with three-dimensional conformal carbon nanomaterials, a variety of high resolution, fast response and high reliability carbon-based tactile sensors were developed, which were applied in the fields of robot dexterous hands and safe interaction. He has published more than 30 SCI papers in Science Bulletin, Nano Energy, ACS Applied Materials &Interfaces and other journals. He won the first Prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of Chongqing Natural Science Award, and the first prize of Chongqing Industry-University-Research Innovation Achievement Award. 


3. Navigation

In terms of high-precision positioning of intelligent networked vehicles, the development of integrated high-precision positioning hardware and software systems, Beidou precision positioning terminals, road test units and software management platforms; In Chongqing autonomous driving test and evaluation base and Xiamen Bay unmanned driving Social Laboratory two demonstration bases to promote the application. It won the first prize of Chongqing Industry-University-Research Innovation Achievement and the second prize of China Satellite Navigation Science and Technology Progress.
