The Research Center on Water Resources and Water Environment of CIGIT was awarded the title of "National March 8th Red Flag Collective”

The All-China Women's Federation recently held a commemoration of the International Women's Day and commendation conference in Beijing. During the event, the Research Center on Water Resources and Water Environment of Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences was awarded the title of "National March 8th Red Flag Collective". The 114th anniversary of International Women's Day was celebrated on March 6th in Chongqing, where medals were awarded to the honored individuals and groups.


The Research Center on Water Resources and Water Environment is a young research team with an average age of 36. Their mission is to promote the green and low-carbon development of the basin in-depth, and they specialize in river and reservoir ecosystem science. The team has undertaken several national projects, such as the National Key Research and Development Plan and the National Natural Science Foundation. They have formed advantages in the "carbon neutrality" of the watershed system and the construction of green watersheds. The team has received recognition from various provincial and ministerial-level talent programs, such as the "Outstanding Youth" of Chongqing, Chongqing's top young talents, the "Western Light" Western Young Scholars of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, innovation interdisciplinary team projects, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Youth Promotion Association. Moreover, their work has made China's voice heard in international organizations.
