In response to the "Lead in Action" initiative of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and aiming to strengthen the exchange and collaboration among young researchers, promote in-depth interdisciplinary integration, and stimulate original innovation and intellectual collisions, the joint organization of the Optical Technology Research Group of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, National Space Science Center Group, National Time Service Center Group, and Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Group convened the "Western Forum on Interdisciplinary Research of Large Scale Scientific Facility" from November 7th to 11th, 2023, in Chengdu and Daocheng.

The forum aimed to delve into the latest research developments in related fields, including the exchange of research achievements, exploration of frontier issues in relevant disciplines, and reviews of domestic and international research dynamics. The Youth Promotion The Youth Innovation Promotion Association group of Chongqing Academy participated in the forum, and the group leader, Yu Ning, delivered a presentation. During the forum, young researchers engaged in discussions with experts and scholars from various fields, sharing their latest research achievements and ideas, thereby broadening their academic perspectives.

Following the forum, young researchers conducted on-site investigations of the Deep Space Radio Telescope (DSRT) at the National Astronomical Observatories, the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) at the Institute of High Energy Physics, and the unnamed mountain station at Yunnan Observatory. Through these investigations, young researchers gained a profound understanding of the challenges in constructing Large Scale Scientific Facility and the selfless dedication of researchers, enhancing their sense of responsibility and mission to contribute to achieving high-level technological self-reliance.
