To promote the spirit of scientists, further enhance the exchange and cooperation among young researchers, stimulate innovative thinking, and foster interdisciplinary intellectual collisions, the Youth Promotion Association (YPA) group of the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, organized the "2024 CAS YPA Chongqing Forum and Interdisciplinary Symposium" in Chongqing on December 13, 2024. Over fifty distinguished young scholars and experts from institutions such as the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chongqing University, Shandong University, Southwest University, Suzhou University of Science and Technology, Nanjing Institute of Technology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University, Chongqing Medical University, and the Cancer Hospital affiliated to Chongqing University, along with members of the YPA group from the Chongqing Research Institute, participated in this academic forum. Secretary Chen Yongbo of the Party Committee of the Chongqing Research Institute attended the forum.

Secretary Chen expressed a warm welcome to the scholars and experts on behalf of the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology(CIGIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He reviewed the development trajectory of the CIGIT's YPA group since its establishment, emphasizing that the organization has always been dedicated to stimulating and nurturing the innovative capabilities of young scientists, aiding them in continuous growth and progress in their scientific research careers. He encouraged young scientists to maintain an open-minded and inclusive attitude, actively engaging in interdisciplinary cooperative research. He pointed out that young people should engage in deep dialogue and cooperation with experts and peers across various fields, exploring more innovative and forward-looking scientific achievements by integrating knowledge from different disciplines. This multidisciplinary crossover approach not only promotes the exchange of knowledge but also advances the expansion of scientific boundaries.

The forum specially set up two sub-forums: the "Youth Interdisciplinary Roundtable Forum" and the "Intelligent Healthcare Roundtable Forum." Among them, the Youth Interdisciplinary Roundtable Forum aimed at driving innovation through the fusion of disciplines, discussing the growth and contributions of young scholars in cross-domain cooperation; the Intelligent Healthcare Roundtable Forum aimed at empowering healthcare with intelligence, exploring the coexistence and symbiosis of humans and AI in the field of biomedical science. Through this forum, a platform for exchange and cooperation was built for young scientists from diverse disciplinary backgrounds, delving into the latest research advancements in various fields. Such academic interactions not only stimulated the innovative thinking of young scientists, promoted scientific exploration and technological innovation, but also actively advanced the integration of interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing attendees to share and integrate the latest research results from different areas, jointly promoting the development of science and technology.
