In the afternoon of March 22, 2024, the academic conference of the National Key Laboratory of Mountain Natural Disaster and Engineering Safety was held in Room 102 of the Comprehensive Research Building of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Chongqing Green Intelligent Technology Research Institute. The meeting was chaired by Dean Liu Hong, with Researcher Wei Fangqiang giving a special report. More than 30 key researchers from the National Heavy Industry Department of our institute, including the research backbone, attended the meeting.
Researcher Wei Fangqiang gave a special report on geological disasters and their main disaster reduction methods, as well as disaster prevention and reduction technologies such as monitoring and early warning, prediction and prediction, and engineering prevention and control. Through in-depth theoretical models and a large number of practical cases, the current achievements in geological disaster prevention and reduction technology are systematically summarized, and the existing shortcomings are analyzed. The research frontiers and technological research and development needs of the entire chain are proposed, including anti impact, tensile and energy absorbing composite materials, underground rock and soil structure detection and disaster monitoring, intelligent identification and early warning systems for mountain disasters, post disaster emergency monitoring equipment, and unmanned deployment systems. The attendees had in-depth and extensive exchanges and discussions, gaining a deeper understanding and comprehension of geological hazards and their prevention and mitigation technologies.
This academic report systematically introduces the cutting-edge research in geological hazard research and prevention, pointing out the research work that our institute may participate in, especially the potential contribution of our institute's advantages in high-tech and materials to disaster prevention and reduction.
