On the afternoon of September 23, the closing ceremony of the "International Training Program on Intelligent Operation and Management Technology for Urban Water Environment and Water Utility Systems," funded by the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and organized by Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was held in Chongqing. Consul Thwin Htet Lin from the Consulate General of Myanmar in Chongqing attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Thwin Htet Lin expressed gratitude to the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences for providing this training opportunity. He stated that the training program has provided Myanmar students with a window to learn about Chinese water technology, increased opportunities for scientific and cultural exchanges between Myanmar and China, and expressed the hope that such training programs can continue. At this point, 16 students from Myanmar government departments and research institutes have completed a two-week training in Chongqing. During the training, they discussed water resource management, application technologies, and potential future cooperation directions with lecturers from domestic universities and enterprises. Mr. Zaw Win Aung, a representative of the students, expressed sincere thanks to the Chinese institutions and staff who worked hard to prepare and conduct the training. He stated that the training program was well-organized, and he hopes to make good use of this training opportunity to identify areas of mutual interest for future cooperation, wishing for the continued development of China and Myanmar.
Training course leader, Huang Yu, introduced that this training not only allowed students to understand China's recent technological methods in applying big data and artificial intelligence to water management through lectures but also provided them with firsthand experience by leading them on-site visits to the Wisdom Island of Chongqing Yuelai Investment Group Co., Ltd., witnessing successful examples of smart city operations in China.This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. The Belt and Road Initiative is an important practical platform for building a community with a shared future for humanity. The launch of this training program is a concrete measure to train professional technical talents for Myanmar and other Belt and Road countries. It is conducive to supporting and promoting the digital development of water resource utilization management in Myanmar and contributes to the continuous enrichment and expansion of science, technology, culture, and trade cooperation between Chongqing and Myanmar.
