The Annual Conference of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association (abbreviated as YIPA) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (abbreviated as CAS) for the year 2022 was held in Shenzhen from April 10th to 13th, 2023. The conference was organized by the YIPA of CAS, hosted by the Guangzhou Branch of CAS, the YIPA Guangzhou Branch, and the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences. Leaders from CAS, relevant departments, and units, along with invited guests and representatives of YIPA members from various CAS institutes, attended this grand event. Members of the Chongqing Academy YIPA, including Liang Liyuan, Chen Yuwen, Ma Yongmei, Yu Ning, Weng Ting, and Xiong Diwen, actively participated in the conference.

Themed "Contributing to a Technologically Strong Nation, Gathering Sparks in the Bay Area," the conference featured special lectures, invited talks in parallel sessions, a comprehensive show, a forum for female scientists, and various other sessions. Members from the Chongqing Academy YIPA engaged in constructive exchanges with fellow YIPA members from different disciplines, offering insights into the format of YIPA activities and suggesting ideas for interdisciplinary collaboration. Through academic exchanges, sharing experiences, and showcasing case studies, participants shared and discussed the latest research findings. Notably, Associate Researcher Liang Liyuan delivered an academic presentation on "Nanopore Single-Molecule Analysis" in the Materials Chemistry session, and Associate Researcher Yu Ning presented on "Additive Manufacturing of Composite Materials" in the Advanced Manufacturing session.

The success of this annual conference has provided a valuable platform and opportunities to promote technological innovation and interdisciplinary integration. Members of the Chongqing Academy YIPA expressed their commitment to leveraging this opportunity to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation both within and outside the academy, contributing to the high-quality development of scientific research.
