Kai Du completed his academic pursuits by obtaining a master's degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in July 2014, following his graduation from Changchun University of Science and Technology in June 2011. Since August 2014, he has been employed at the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where his primary focus has been on conducting research in the field of high-precision 3D imaging and detection technology. His work has involved the development of sophisticated equipment such as white-light interferometers and 3D orthographic high-speed sensors. To date, he has authored five academic papers and secured nearly ten authorized invention patents. Additionally, he has led four horizontal technology development projects for enterprises and has been an active participant in over ten national defense science and technology projects, including those under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology, national major scientific research instrument development initiatives, and key projects in Chongqing.
High precision 3D imaging and inspection technology
In 2022, received the Bronze Award of the Golden Torch Award from the China Optical Engineering Society (ranked fourth).
In 2023, received the Second Prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award from the China Instrument and Control Society (ranked sixth).
