Ning Yu, Ph.D., is working in Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; college of Materials Science and Engineering, Chongqing School, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his Ph.D. degree in Le Laboratoire Réactions et Génie des Procédés (LRGP), centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), university of lorraine, France in 2015. He currently holds the position of Chairman of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Chongqing), Deputy Director of the Chongqing 3D Printing Application Engineering Technology Research Center, and Deputy Leader of the High-Performance Composite Additive Manufacturing Research Group.
He is currently a member of the SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering) China Polymer Foam and Porous Materials Committee and the Materials Science Expert Committee of VE (Viser Materials Science Expert Database), Singapore. Additionally, he serves as a visiting researcher at the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Soft Matter Materials Chemistry and Functional Manufacturing, as well as an expert member of the Technical Committee of the Chongqing Nanotechnology Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance.
His research interests primarily revolve around polymer science and technology. He focuses on the research of high-performance composite design-process-equipment in various areas, including aerospace additive manufacturing, biomedical engineering, oil extraction, and specialized protection.

He was successively selected into the member of Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Western Youth Scholar of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chongqing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Excellent Talents Program.
He has made notable contributions to the field and has published papers in reputable journals such as Materials & Design, Macromolecules, Polymer, Journal of manufacturing processes, J. Phys. Chem. B、J. Phys. Chem. C and Polymer Testing. The products derived from his research have found extensive applications in the fields of biomedical engineering, 3D printing and oil exploitation, demonstrating their wide-ranging impact.
