Professor Liu joined Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology at 2015. He received his Ph. D. (2010) at Department of Mechanical engineering of the University of Hong Kong with studying fabrication, characterization and simulation of inorganic functional nanomaterials and devices. After one year postdoctoral work at the University of Hong Kong, he joined Energy Institute of City University of New York with studying metacapacitors, composite energy materials and low cost scaled up fabrication methods of oxide nanocrystals. He currently focuses on synthesis, characterization and simulation of nanomaterials and their applications on energy devices such as dielectric capacitors, supercapacitors, topological capacitors and energy self-harvest system. He also has research interests on piezoelectric, ferroelectric and multiferroic materials and devices.
