Dr. Bei Nie, is a full professor in chemistry and biochemistry at Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to current position, he possessed the professorship (research assistant professor) in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Notre Dame. He obtained his Ph. D. Degree in Department of Chemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison under the supervision of Prof. Lloyd M. Smith, where his major effort was emphasized on single molecule DNA sequencing and maskless photolithgraphic invader DNA microchip for human genome-wide genotyping. Presently, Dr. Nie directs the Open Instrument and Technology Center in Chongqing institute, conducting his research group emphasized on bioanlaytical chemistry, biological mass spectrometry, Correlated molecular imaging technology, gaseous ion deposition SERS and miniaturized medicinal device. Dr. Nie has authored and co-authored more than 10 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles. For a long-term, he has participated many related scientific communities, as member of ASMS, ACS and APS.
